KNIGHTLY SERVICE WARRANTIES

LIFETIME WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY

Knightly Services warrants that all workmanship provided by our employees be done in accordance with local building codes and professional standards for the normal life of the installation and will correct any installation that does not meet those standards at the time of installation free of charge, subject to the limitations detailed below. GENERAL CONDITIONS AND EXCLUSIONS

This warranty extends only to parts and labor provided by Knightly Services. Parts provided by others or installations done by others are expressly excluded from this warranty. This warranty does not cover items damaged by acts of nature, misuse, or abuse. Light bulbs are expressly excluded from this warranty unless otherwise specified. This warranty is limited to only those items installed or provided by Knightly Services. Remedies for warranty claims are limited to the repair or replacement of the damaged part or faulty installation up to but not exceeding a full refund for the installation or faulty portion of the installation. This warranty does not cover the cost of repairs made by others unless authorized in writing by Knightly Services. This warranty does not apply to installations or parts for which Knightly Services has not received payment. Failure to pay for a service or installation voids any and all warranty coverage offered by Knightly Services. No warranty coverage is extended to pro gratis or courtesy repairs. This warranty is non-transferable and is only enforceable by the original purchaser. No warranty coverage or guarantees are extended to subsequent owners or occupants with the exception of work performed as a condition to the sale of the property and completed within 45 days of the closing. In such cases, the warranty for that work will extend to the new homeowner

Knightly Services warrants that all parts provided and installed by us be free of defects and that we will repair or replace any defective part free of charge (up to $250 USD). This warranty is subject to the limitations listed here or on the service order. Parts that are discovered to be defective within 6 months of installation are covered by full warranty, which includes the cost of the installation of the new part. Parts that are discovered to be defective after 6 months are covered under a limited lifetime warranty that covers the cost of the part (up to $250 USD) but not installation. Knightly Services must be notified within 30 days of discovering the failed part for it to be covered under this warranty. Smoke Detectors provided and installed by Knightly Services are covered for 6 Months only.

WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY

⚒️ Workmanship Warranty
Knightly Electrical Services guarantees that all labor performed by our technicians will comply with local building codes and industry standards at the time of installation. The length of this workmanship warranty is defined by the warranty period listed on your invoice or estimate. Any repairs needed during that period will be made at no additional cost, as long as payment has been made in full.
This warranty excludes issues caused by misuse, unauthorized modifications, natural disasters, or unrelated system problems.
We stand by our work—and our word. That’s why Knightly Electrical Services guarantees to respond and complete any valid warranty repair within 72 business hours of being notified of the issue.
If we are unable to complete the required warranty repair within that 72-hour business window, we will refund $100 to the customer as a courtesy.
Exceptions:
This timeframe does not apply if:

  • Special-order materials are required
     

  • The repair is dependent on manufacturer lead times or shipping delays
     

  • The customer is unavailable or delays access to the property
     

In these cases, Knightly Electrical Services will notify the customer with the expected timeline based on material availability.
 
 
🔩 Parts Warranty
Parts supplied and installed by Knightly Electrical Services are covered under a limited warranty matching the length of your labor warranty, as stated on your invoice. During this period:

  • Knightly Electrical Services will replace or repair any defective part we supplied, including labor.
     

  • Manufacturer warranties may extend beyond this, but any work required after the Knightly Services warranty expires will incur standard service fees.
     

  • Any warranty claim must be reported to us within 30 days of discovering the issue.
     

Parts not supplied by Knightly Electrical Services are not covered under this warranty.
 
📋 General Conditions & Limitations
Our warranties are non-transferable and apply only to the original customer unless the work was completed as part of a real estate transaction within 45 days of the closing date. Remedies are limited to repair or replacement and will never exceed the value of the original work.
Warranties are void if:

  • Full payment is not received
     

  • Work is altered or repaired by another party without written consent
     

  • Damage results from misuse, abuse, environmental conditions, or acts of God
     

  • Materials or fixtures were supplied by the customer or an outside party
     

 
🚫 Not Covered by Warranty
Knightly Electrical Services does not provide warranty coverage for the following:

  • Smoke detectors
     

  • Integrated LED fixtures with non-removable bulbs after 1 year
     

  • Light bulbs of any kind (including LED, CFL, incandescent, etc.)
     

  • Damage caused by lightning strikes, electrical surges, or power company faults
     

  • Complimentary labor or parts
     

  • Devices or fixtures not purchased directly through Knightly
     

  • Any service explicitly listed as “No Warranty” on the invoice
     

  • Equipment or connections affected by customer-managed internet or Wi-Fi systems
     

 
 
📅 Post-Job Support Window
We offer a 14-day post-installation support window for minor questions, walkthroughs, or device adjustments related to completed work. After this period, additional visits or troubleshooting will be billed at our regular diagnostic rate.
 
⚡ Surge Protection Disclaimer
Knightly Electrical Services does not warrant electronics, appliances, or wiring against lightning or surge-related damage. If a Knightly-installed surge protector fails during the warranty period, we will provide a one-time replacement up to $250 in value. Additional damage must be covered by the product’s manufacturer warranty or the customer’s insurance.
 
🔌 Breaker Overload / Tripping Disclaimer
Circuit breakers are designed to trip if the connected load exceeds their safe capacity. Knightly Electrical Services is not responsible for tripping issues caused by overloaded circuits, high-demand appliances, or changes in customer usage. Please ask us about circuit upgrades if needed.
 
🧠 Smart Home & Wi-Fi Devices
Knightly Electrical Services installs smart switches, doorbells, and other connected devices, but we do Garuntee or troubleshoot Wi-Fi connectivity, mobile apps, or user setup. Customers are responsible for maintaining Wi-Fi service and reprogramming devices after power outages or resets.
 
🔍 Electrical Inspections
Electrical inspections are general evaluations of accessible system components. They do not include testing the integrity of wires, outlets, or conductors behind walls or devices. For advanced integrity testing, we offer Megohmmeter (insulation resistance) testing as a separate service.
 
📡 Video Doorbells
We install smart doorbells and wired chimes as requested. Knightly Electrical Services is not responsible for app setup, device pairing, or Wi-Fi signal strength. These responsibilities rest solely with the customer.
 
🚜 Digging, Trenching & Excavation
When performing any underground work, we coordinate with public utility locating services. However, customers are responsible for marking private lines, including irrigation, pet fencing, pool wiring, and septic systems. Knightly is not liable for unmarked or misidentified private utilities, landscaping, sod, or property disturbances. If we must repair any private line due to incorrect markings, extra fees will apply.
 
💡 Floodlight Positioning
If the customer is present, our technician will confirm the positioning of floodlights and sensors during installation. If adjustments are requested after nightfall or following a daytime installation without customer input, a return trip charge may apply.
 
❌ No-Warranty Repairs
Any repair or installation marked “No Warranty” on your invoice is fully excluded from any parts or labor warranty.
 
🧾 Warranty Inspection Fee
If a warranty call is scheduled and the issue is found to be unrelated to covered work (e.g., user error, unrelated failure, or an excluded item), Knightly Electrical Services reserves the right to charge a standard diagnostic fee for the visit, along with any necessary repair costs
